Roles & Responsibilities:
- Ownership of design, implementation and maintenance of components
- Participation in Design and code reviews
- Knowledge sharing with our global team
- Partner with vendors to ensure high-quality delivery
Required Skills :
- At least 5 years of hands-on technical experience delivering Mainframe solutions using technologies including: COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, JCL
- Should have experience developing/managing mainframe systems, interpreting business requirements and producing systems designs, creating/consuming interfaces with upstream and downstream systems, data in relational database environments (preferably DB2, SQL)
- Experience performing planning, architectural design, technical analysis and development of medium to high complexity projects
- Track record of delivering results in complex or ambiguous environments
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- The candidate should also have an entrepreneurial spirit and the flexibility to adapt as the business priorities evolve
- Excellent written/oral communication skills and listening skills
- Full systems development life cycle experience
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of trade processing, clearance, Back Office Financial Brokerage Operations processing
- Working knowledge of cross-platform mainframe, distributed and web technology desirable
