Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering (Software).
- Telecommunications industry experience and related product knowledge preferred.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and in writing) to interact with team members and clients.
Purpose of Position:
- This job is responsible for creating testing cases, test data, test execution, debugging and troubleshooting relatively complex software.
- Where required by the project, the candidate may also be responsible for supporting project delivery at customer premises.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze Definitions or Design Specifications and create test cases and test data under direction from more senior staff. Attend walk-throughs of new functionality
- Modify test scripts, test data; Execute test cases and record test results.
- Adheres to CSG software development standards and procedures  
- Work is generally structured as a set of activities or problem situations, assigned and scheduled by others
- Coordinates own tasks to complete assigned tasks on time.
- Works co-operatively with the team.
- Keep Testing Leader informed of delays in testing activities or problems arising from variances.  
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
- Travel, after/off-hours and extended on-site work may be required.  May also be required to be on call during non-standard work hours.  
- The incumbent is accountable for professional working behaviour to include; building and maintaining constructive working relationships, implementing proactive and concise communication, acting as a resource to colleagues, and engaging in collaborative thinking and problem solving while demonstrating CSG’s core competencies and values.
Key Outputs & Accountabilities:
- Adheres to CSG software standards and procedures.
- Coordinates and communicates regularly with project team leaders and members
- Required to work after/off-hours to meet the customer requirements including attending meetings/supporting after hours.  
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience:
- Self-motivated individual who works well in a team environment.
- Strong understanding of the testing methodology and various testing phases.
- Telco and Mediation business exposure preferred.
- CSG Mediation knowledge will have added advantages.
- Strong level of analytical problem-solving skills to identify and diagnose issues.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Full fluency proficiency in reading and writing in English.
- Excellent communications skills – both verbal and written.  Able to communicate and influence at all levels effectively.
- Proficient Microsoft Office including strong Word and Excel skills.
- Proven ability to be a self-starter, pro-active with highly developed analytical problem-solving skills to find creative and effective solutions to challenging problems.
- Coordinates own tasks and work with other team members to meet project schedules.
